通常，我們?cè)谑褂脵C(jī)械設(shè)備的時(shí)候，常常會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)與其附隨著的一些指導(dǎo)性的、具備該設(shè)備全面介紹的信息以及其使用方法和步驟詳情的文本，這就是我們經(jīng)常見(jiàn)到的機(jī)械說(shuō)明書(shū)。隨著國(guó)與國(guó)之間的技術(shù)交流與合作日漸緊密，國(guó)內(nèi)的有些機(jī)械設(shè)備要銷往國(guó)外，走出國(guó)門；同樣，為了促進(jìn)我們機(jī)械設(shè)備技術(shù)的發(fā)展，有些設(shè)備也需要引進(jìn)，這是一個(gè)互補(bǔ)的過(guò)程。這個(gè)過(guò)程，實(shí)質(zhì)上是一個(gè)語(yǔ)言的交流過(guò)程，也就是語(yǔ)言翻譯之后再表達(dá)的過(guò)程。當(dāng)然，這些也都通過(guò)機(jī)械方面的翻譯工作完全體現(xiàn)出來(lái)了，特別是在機(jī)械說(shuō)明書(shū)翻譯方面。

一，機(jī)械說(shuō)明書(shū)翻譯應(yīng)具有嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)性。

     例如，水源由水泵從蓄水裝置供入設(shè)備的進(jìn)水管，可循環(huán)使用以節(jié)省水資源。必須使用經(jīng)過(guò)軟化處理的軟水，以免結(jié)垢堵塞水路，引起不必要的故障。

    （譯文）Water is supplied by water pump from the water storage device to the water inlet of the equipment, and it can be recycling to save the water resource. The soft water through softening process must be used to avoid its scale-formation blocking the waterway which may lead to unnecessary fault.

二，機(jī)械說(shuō)明書(shū)翻譯要有一定的準(zhǔn)確性。

     例如，感應(yīng)器與電源柜確保連接安全可靠。連接線應(yīng)加裝防護(hù)裝置，不得踩踏連接線，不得往連接線上面堆放任何金屬物料。在設(shè)備周圍必須設(shè)置安全防護(hù)措施，用30mm厚的干燥木板做工作踏臺(tái)。

    （譯文）Make sure that inductor and power cabinet connect safely and reliably. Connecting line should extra install protective device, and do not step on the connecting line, do not pile up any metal material on the connecting line. Safeguard procedures must be set around the equipment and use dry plank with thickness of 35mm to make working horse block.

三，機(jī)械說(shuō)明書(shū)翻譯要保持語(yǔ)句的通順、流暢。

      例如，在感應(yīng)器裝置附近打一地線，使感應(yīng)器裝置上面的接地端子直接與大地可靠相連。地線的連接應(yīng)符合電工規(guī)范。

     （譯文）Set a ground wire the inductor device make the grounding terminal on the inductor device directly reliably connect with ground. The connection of grounding wire should apply to the electrician standard.

     （改譯）Set a ground wire nearby the inductor device and make the grounding terminal on the inductor device directly and reliably connect with ground. The connection of grounding wire should apply to the electrician standard.

      例1，我們看出其嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)性與準(zhǔn)確性。例2，原文的“木板”翻譯成了“plank”，實(shí)際上應(yīng)為“board”，因?yàn)椤癰oard”泛指各種寬而薄的木板，而“plank”指比較厚的“木板”“板材”，所以，“board”更為合適。另外，譯文也有一處數(shù)字錯(cuò)誤，應(yīng)該為“30mm”，而不是“35mm”。例3，很明顯，語(yǔ)句不通，令人無(wú)法理解原意。

      以上乃是機(jī)械說(shuō)明書(shū)翻譯的幾個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單實(shí)例，但從這些實(shí)例中，我們也看到了在翻譯過(guò)程一些易出的錯(cuò)誤，這就需要我們要有一個(gè)正確的翻譯態(tài)度，這樣才能做得更好。
